Lambrusco!

I recently attended a wonderful event at The International Culinary Center devoted to Lambrusco. It was a day of wine tasting combined with food pairings with dishes prepared by some amazing chefs.  I got the chance to cover the event for FoodArts.com, so please check out my article and find out why you should consider giving these wines a second look.

Squab with little potato gnocchi, broad beans, peas and tartufo marzolino, black truffle by Valentino Marcattilii

This squab with little potato gnocchi by Valentino Marcattilii paired with Lambrusco di Modena Grasparossa di Castelvetro DOP, OPERA02, was my favorite combination of the day.

Me with Chef Michael White
At the end of the day I got to meet Chef Michael White—I was super excited!

If you feel inspired after reading the piece, check out Mondo Lambrusco’s site, where you can find some the recipes for the day’s delicious dishes, along with the recommended wine pairings.

Here are a few pictures to whet your appetite.

  1. You don't have to convince me! I have always been a fan. But thanks for your post as it has lessened my shame. xo
