Tailgate Chic Super Bowl Menu: Mini Lobster Rolls and Sesame Barbeque Ribs

You'll find both of these recipes on C Wonder's Inside the C blog, but I couldn't resist posting the gorgeous pics here, along with the wine pairings.


Perfect Pairing for Mini Lobster Rolls: Poggiobello Friulano Friuli Colli Orientali 2011
This wine comes from North-Eastern Italy and has lots of zesty citrus flavors, accented by more rounded notes of stone fruits and melon, and hints of herbs, all of which worked beautifully with the sweet, buttery lobster meat. 
 

 

Perfect Pairing for Sesame BBQ Ribs: Rancho Zabaco Zinfandel Dry Creek Valley Reserve 2010

This wine is a crowd pleaser. It’s really easy to drink and our guests couldn’t get enough of it. It’s a perfect match for the ribs, as it brought out the sweet, fruity notes in the sauce, as well as the umami in the sesame and soy sauce.
